The name of the Wicked Witch, Elphaba, was created by taking the phonetic pronunciation of the initials of the original author of «The Wizard of Oz», L. Frank Baum, L-F-B, which became Elphaba.

It is the Wizard who should be afraid of me. The Universal Pictures logo has the globe in pink (representing Glinda) and the company name in green (representing Elphaba).
