Line of Events
The action takes place in the 23rd century on Mars. The plot tells about the investigation of the murder case, which is conducted by a couple founded by private investigator Aline Ruby and her android friend Carlos Rivera. He has already filmed episodes of the TV series «Lastman» (2016).
References 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
In 2018, producer Didier Creste contacted him and Laurent Sarfati, the creator and screenwriter of «Lastman», to work on the adaptation of their series. Instead, they convinced him to create an original idea, a neo-noir sci-fi animated film, for which he managed to find financing and which eventually became The Martian Express. The animation and background are well done
A Million Miles Away Written by Fred Avril and Philip Montei Performed by Alice Lewis. It was a surprisingly good adult thriller; I did not expect such attention to detail and plot. Although they may not stand out by the standards of modern art, they are decorated with carefully thought-out details and innovative ideas.
The characters are very well written and developed — I really liked Carlos
The way the futuristic world is structured is also carefully thought out; there are many small details that make the film very realistic. On the other hand, everything happens quite quickly, and some important characters or events are shown only briefly. Mars Express needed a little more screen time to flesh out these elements better.
