It is wonderfully genuine and, like life, not sweet
Line of Events
Agathe Riedinger’s film does not reproduce romantic clichés. Inconsistent acting and character development that is hard not to relate to. A brilliant script that consciously – with a maturity rarely seen among debuts – steers clear of the play’s convoluted path.
Beautiful cinematography, incredible debut
The director hints at them and then constantly takes us down another path. The reality of this film is a far cry from the black-and-white simplifications we’ve become accustomed to from decades of patriarchal narratives. Here the woman is the subject.
