Having seen Sharon Horgan in Catastrophe, I respect and admire her writing, comedy, and acting so much that I will watch anything she stars in
«Bad Sisters» is devilishly funny, brilliantly written, brilliantly acted, and brilliantly directed, and just plain smart in every way and so human — both good and bad — that it immediately stands out. There is no real violence, no car crashes, no special effects, it’s all very human, the real drama and agony of what some people do to others, tempered by funny circumstances and comedy.
I love this show
John Paul, the abusive husband of one of the sisters, known to all the sisters as «Dick», is so wonderfully and diabolically written and acted that I don’t know if I’ll ever see this actor in anything else and not hate him for being so bad in such a cliché role. Two minutes of watching him keep calling his wife «mommy»…Honestly, it’s annoying because it’s so realistic that you want to kill him or make sure he dies.
